Elizabeth Hipwell, M.Ed., C-SLDI/IDA

Hi, I’m Elizabeth Hipwell. I’m an educator, dyslexia interventionist, and passionate advocate for students with learning differences. As someone with ADHD and dyslexia, and mom to two adult children with ADHD, I understand the challenges families face. This personal experience helps me connect deeply with the students and families I support, offering empathy alongside practical strategies shaped by both my training and my own journey.

For more than 25 years, I’ve had the joy of working with learners from preschool through college, helping them grow their skills and confidence so they can thrive. Whether I’m working one-on-one with a student, supporting parents as they navigate their child’s learning path, or guiding teachers through professional development, I’m committed to meeting each person with compassion and a belief in their unique potential.

Outside of work, I’ve been happily married for over 30 years. My husband and I love taking cross-country trips, discovering new places, and making memories together. When I’m not teaching or exploring new strategies, you’ll likely find me knitting, sewing, trying out watercolor painting, or cooking up something new. I also find peace outdoors, whether tending my small garden, enjoying long walks, or visiting the beaches of Cape Cod and the Oregon coast. These simple pleasures keep me grounded and inspire my passion for helping others.
